Description
This is a dummy battery for Sony NP-F batteries. It can be powered by a USB PD (Power Delivery) power supply. Usually those come with any laptop using USB-C to charge and most smartphone's fast chargers will work as well.
You need:
2x M2 10mm
1x "Zypds Dc" USB-C PD dummy (9V variant)
Instructions:
Solder two breadboard wires to the pin out. Place the board in the cut out and push the wires into channels. Let the wires stand out around 5-10mm at the back. Remove the isolation from the point the cables are above the holes. Push the blank wire into the hole, preferably towards the screw. Screw the screws in from the side. Check connection with a multimeter (optional). Connect the USB-C cable, use a multimeter to confirm 9V. Use double sided tape or glue to fix the board after you are sure everything works. Enjoy!
Important: 9V is slightly more than the 7.2V a Sony NP-F battery is rated at! Maybe not use it with super expensive equipment or if you know the device can handle it (like the light shown in the pictures which is rated at 9V)
