Summary

Not all forks support the OneUp EDC. Some have ovalized steerer tubes or a minor internal diameter that's just too small for the full storage container.

This adds back the storage container with 2mm shaved off the diameter. It might not work with all forks, but it'll increase compatibility. My RockShox 35 is listed as entirely incompatible but it works great with this mod.

Two lengths have been included. One at 89mm which is the size of the original storage container, the other is 110 for a little extra volume. Print it in something tough - I used PETG

Warning

This will improve fork compatibility, but it WILL NOT make all forks compatible and this is not something that OneUp supports. Speaking from experience, it SUCKS to get a stuck EDC from your steerer tube.

Essentially, use common sense. Don't force it. I don't take any responsibility for screwing up your fork, EDC, or voiding any warranties.

Notes:

  • You have to keep resolution pretty tight since there are small threads up near the top. Maybe this would be a job for dynamic resolution?
  • I said no rafts, but you might want to print with a brim Print upright with bottom of storage capsule touching the buildplate
