Description
I lost the vertical part of my monitor stand during my move. Designed this replacement part to fix it :) It's a little higher than the original. I had not too much time, so it's rather a practical than a beautiful design. Most people won't see the back of their monitors anyways.
The hole on the bottom (where the screw from the foot connects) is made for a threaded insert (M4 10mm).
There is a little black screw on the bottom of the mount on the display. Please remove it to allow the stand to slide fully over the mount (the screws blocks the mount from fully sliding over).
Print this with 2mm walls (5 lines with 0,4mm nozzle) to make it strong. Open the 3mf file to see my settings. Infill doesn't matter too much, I used 10%. Printed with PLA.
Make sure to print it laying down on the flat side! If you print it upright the weight of the screen creates forces parallel with the layer lines making the stand much weaker. Printing it laying down makes the forces perpendicular.
If your printer does decent with overhangs you don't need supports in this orientation.
