Sun Visor / Sunshade / Sonnenschutz / Sonnenblende compatible to BMW Connected Ride Cradle (CRC)

This sunshade is compatible with the original BMW Motorrad smartphone holder "Connected Ride Cradle". Unfortunately, there is no sunshade for the cradle from BMW, so I made one myself.

Mounting Instructions:

1. unscrew the screw at the bottom right corner and pull the left holding arm out of the cradle.
2. stick strong double-sided tape (heat- and waterproof!) on the left and on top of the cradle frame.
3. put the sunshade upright with the recess at the bottom onto the left holding arm and turn it 90° counterclockwise like a bayonet catch.
4. stick the sunshade onto the taped frame so that it is flush with the frame.
5. if the variant with the two eyelets at the top is used, attach Velcro, rubber bands, cable ties or similar to the bar under the lower support arm and guide it behind the navigation mount when the cradle is mounted on the motorcycle and attach it to the eyelets at the top. In my opinion, double-sided tape is sufficient for attachment, but in enduro mode or world travel, I would probably additionally use the eyelets for attachment.

If you have a phone size that is exactly on the ridge of the recess for the left support arm or you find the bayonet mounting too complicated, you can remove the ridge with a saw or similar.

Print the sunshade in STL orientation, with support on the print bed in 0.2 at 20% infill.

Dieser Sonnenschutz ist kompatibel zum originalen BMW Motorrad Smartphone-Halter "Connected Ride Cradle". Leider gibt es für das Cradle von BMW keinen Sonnenschutz, so dass ich selbst einen gemacht habe.

Montageanleitung:

1. Schraube an der Ecke unten rechts lösen und den linken Haltearm aus dem Cradle ziehen.
2. Starkes doppelseitiges Klebeband (hitze- und wasserfest!) links und oben auf den Cradle-Rahmen kleben.
3. Sonnenschutz hochkant mit der Aussparung unten auf den linken Haltearm stecken und 90° gegen den Uhrzeigersinn wie einen Bajonettverschluss drehen
4. Sonnenschutz auf den mit Klebeband versehenen Rahmen kleben, so dass er mit dem Rahmen abschließt.
5. Falls die Variante mit den beiden Ösen oben genutzt wird, Klettverschlüsse, Gummis, Kabelbinder o.ä. am Steg unter dem unteren Haltearm befestigen und beim ans Montorrad montiertem Cradle hinter der Navigationshalterung langführen sowie oben an den Ösen befestigen. Meines Erachtens ist doppelseitiges Klebeband zur Befestigung ausreichend, aber im Endurobetrieb oder auf Weltreisen, würde ich wohl zusätzlich die Ösen zur Befestigung nutzen.

Falls ihr eine Telefongröße habt, die genau auf dem Steg der Aussparung für den linken Haltearm liegt oder euch die Bajonettverschluss-Montage zu kompliziert ist, könnt ihr den Steg mit einer Säge o.ä. entfernen.

Druckt den Sonnenschutz in STL-Ausrichtung, mit Support auf dem Druckbett in 0.2 bei 20% Infill.
