Description
This is an adapter that fits onto a clothes line. It holds its position through friction by weaving the clothes line between its body and arms. The holes at the bottom can hold a coat hanger or anything else. (We use them to hold party lights.)
The original model is at least 4 decades old. After about 2 years outdoors under the elements and direct sunlight, one of the originals broke. So I modeled this in OpenSCAD to have replacements whenever I need one.
The 2nd photo shows (from left to right) an original model (blue), a PETG print (yellow) and a PLA print (black). The prints are both made with 100% infill and at 0.2mm layer height. The layer height could be reduced for stronger parts.
