Description
I really like theaguie's Da Vinci dial indicator mount (thing:718768) , but it didn't quite work on my FlashForge Creator Pro. I needed to modify it a bit to keep it from dragging on the X drive belt. It also needed to be higher off the build plate so my probe only had about a mm of travel. The spring from the indicator can actually deflect the build plate if it is compressed too much.
While I was at it, I also made the hole large enough for the 9.5 mm diameter shaft of my digital indicator. Actually, I made it just a hair too big, but found that if I wedge it with a bit of extruded filament, it works perfectly. Not enough of a bother for me to worry about.
In the picture, the red thing is the original design. The black one is my remix.
Just a light touch with a round file on the rail mounts so it slides easily on the rails.
