Star Trek II TWOK Badge

Here is my newest simplified version of the badge from the classic Star Trek films, first seen in The Wrath of Khan. Uses color swapping on the insert part to achieve the colors so no painting is needed. Fitted for 6x2mm magnets.

Update log

November 27 2024 - Revised this yet again as v3--made the badge slightly larger, updated the delta shape, and simplified the parts so there aren't different versions anymore for officer and enlisted. 

Consists of 3 parts: Delta, Frame, and Insert. 

Optimized printing

I printed everything at .20 mm layer height and used the ‘Height range modifier’ feature in prusalicer to add a separate setting for top layer perimeters to 1 so they look better. 2 perimeters or more is better for the whole model but they look bad on to surfaces so adjusting to 1 wall just on top helps. 

Filaments used

CC3D Antique gold PLA, CC3D Blue Gray PLA, Polymaker Polylite Pro PLA Bronze, generic sample yellow and white PLA combined in layers for a light yellow effect.
