Week Pill Container

Pill container for each day of the week. It can hold a moderate amount of pills for each day. The reason I made this is because pill containers like this that are commercially available do not have secure lids. When i would open the day I want and turn it upside down to spill out that days medicine, one of the other days would open and spill all over the floor. This container had a very secure mechanism to keep the container closed. I also like to keep the lids open on the days that I have taken medicine to let me know that i have taken the medicine for that day already. This containers lids stay where you leave them. It also reminds me when it is time to refill the days. You will need a small rod to place in the hinge. I used a 1.5mm (1/16th inch) x 210mm (8 1/4 inches) music wire that i use for projects. You can get it any hobby store. I use a drill to spin the wire into place while holding each day in place. The holes are supposed to be 2mm but the print makes them a little small, if you use a 2mm rod it will be very difficult to open the lid. I have prusa mk2, and i use the layer editing tool in Slic3r to make the layers around the lids holes and the main body holes very detailed and accurate. The photos are of the one I made in PLA. I stopped the print and changed colors to make the days stand out, then switched back after the bottom of the text printed.

i used layer editing in Slic3r to make it very detailed around the lip of the lids and the holes in the lids and the pill body.

I used fusion 360 to design it , i made a few changes in fusion after a couple of prints. I did the animation in fusion 360 then exported the AVI file to Adobe Premiere and then converted it to an animated GIF
