Geared Name Tag

I wanted to create a name-tag with some mechanical motion but still functional as a name-tag!

I have incorporated a very simple system of 3 gears that display one of the following three options when you rotate the knob connected to one of the gears.

• Idea
• Design
• FDM

Also, the name-tag does not use safety pins or similar options to attached on clothing but utilizing small magnets and a thin piece of plastic that put between any clothing it is hold securely, but can be moved around and no need to puncture holes on a nice jacket or so! I have included pre-sliced files for a stock MK3S+ with a 0.4 E3D nozzle using PrusaSlicer 2.4.2. Two parts (Gear-Letter_9_teeth* and Top_Sunjay*) require to change filament colors during the print. The printer will pause and prompt you how.

Also, in commemoration of Sunjay Mortimer I have created an embossed label with his name.

To complete the Name Tag you will need the following:

• Print Blank_Name_Tag_Gears and Gear-Letter_9_teeth.
  • Sunjay option print also Top_Sunjay
• 4  6 mm x 3 mm round magnets
• 2 M2 or M2.2 4mm shelf tapping screws. Instead of screws, glue can be used to join the posts to the Top plate but be careful not to glue the gears.
• Sharpie to write your name!
