Description

In addition to a sequential shifter, Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel has little nubs behind the wheel for changing gears. Those are not very nice to use.

This design is for an add-on shifting paddles that are attached around the wheel and operate by pressing those same nubs.

Easy to print as all parts have a flat side. No supports needed.

In addition 6 random bolts and nuts are needed for construction. 4 to attach front and back sides together and 2 to act as hinge pins on the paddles. I also have a piece of tape on both sides to keep paddles attached to the shifting nubs on the wheel. Shifting works well even when not pressing the paddles from the middle, but on one end of the paddle only.

Two M4 bolts and nuts should be used as hinge pins to connect paddles to the frame. If these bolts are very loose or tight it will affect how the paddles feel like.

Attaching the to sides of the frame is easier, and size of the bolts (4) doesn't matter that much. If I recall correctly, the model was made for 5mm bolts. I even used big wood screws that I just cut to size and it has worked well for over a year already without any bolts on the back side.

The v2 front plate is not such a good fit, so I improved the design not to leave a visible gap on top of the steering wheel. On the photo of my wheel, I have all v2 parts attached. Since, I have replaced it with v3.
