Parameterized Living Hinge Box

a box which you can configure to fit your needs.

It uses a fold mechanism aka “living hinges”. This way, it prints flat and you have to fold and assemble it.

Two things are special about it:

• it prints with the outside on top. This let's you decorate the outer shell in many fancy ways
• it uses four folds instead of three where one edge would be left open. Instead, the two edges of the model meet in the middle of one side. This gives it extra stability

Create your box as .stl file with OpenSCAD

Import it into your favourite design tool like tinkercad to decorate it

Print it, fold it and enjoy!

Now it is up to you to remix this model and create boxes for any use case!
