Description
Dremel 7700 Battery Pack Charge Dock. To be used with a NiMh 6S intelligent charger.
I upgraded the worn AA 0.7A NiCd cells in the original battery pack to AA 2.6Ah NiMh cells. There are 6 cells in the battery pack and after upgrading I needed a new charger as the supplied one only does NiCd charging. I made a dock station which will mate up to any charger.
I used a cheap Maverick 2S-6S NiMh Charger that comes supplied with RC cars. I then wired the Dock station with a Tamiya Battery Socket Connector to connect to the charger's Tamiya Battery Plug.
Apart from the 2 parts of the print you only need 4 x AAA 5mm Battery Spring connectors, a Tamiya Battery Socket Connector with some wire and 4 x 10mm M3 self tapper screws.
Assemble as in the picture with red cable on 1 spring connector, black on another and the remaining 2 connectors soldered together as show in photo (This is to bridge the 2 x 3.6v parts of the battery pack together.
