Design goals of this case
- exact fit for the OMVS kit to consolize a Neo Geo MV1C
- printable on a Prusa i3
- fully optimized for easy, support-free printing with some sacrificial bridges
- all top surfaces to be printed directly on print bed for an uniform (textured) appearance
- good print quality even on .3mm layer height
- fancier look, with design hints taken from the AES
- easy, screw-based assembly
Additional parts needed
- 6 x 7mm M3 (or equivalent) bolt
- 18 x 10mm M3 (or equivalent) bolt
- 12 x M3 (or equivalent) hexnut (locknuts or locknuts recommended)
- 3 x 20mm M3 (or equivalent) bolt
- 3 x 38mm M3 (or equivalent) bolt
- 1 x panel mount barrel plug, equivalent to conrad.de 1582355 - 62
- 1 x LED (5mm)
- 4 x self adhesive rubber feet
Additional info
- lit part of logo can be cast from hot glue in the part logo_led_mould
- drop cast part in isopropanol to ease separating it from the mould
- make sure to print all bottom parts with same layer height, so they align perfectly
- remove original audio amplifier and heat sink
- replacement battery has to be installed flush or angled
- check space around capacitor AC11, mount laying on its side if needed
- for large printers, a single-piece bottom part is provided
