The clip things that lock the wings in place on my avios extra 330LX are worn out. This is a quick replacement that I put together. These wing locks should also work fine for many other planes, depending on the angle between the wing and the fuselage.
p.s. rotate the nut holder in your slicer…
You will need:
- Some M3 nuts, preferably lock-nuts
- Some M3 8mm or 10mm screws
- Glue that won't wreck the foam (I used superglue)
- 1.5mm drill
- A few 2x8mm self tapping screws (basically tiny wood screws)
Installation:
- Glue the nuts into nut holder, glue the nut holder to the fuselage (over the plastic wing holder)
- Screw the two parts together for good alignment
- Dril trough the wing lock into the plastic (not too deep)
- screw the wing lock to plastic the old lock
