Description
The Nicca Type-3 camera (or branded and sold as Sears Tower Type-3 in the US) is a great Barnack Leica (e.g. Leica 1, 2, 3) copy made in Japan. I made this case for it, meant to be printed in TPU.Â
It's designed so the top also accomodates a mounted accessory finder (at least fits the pictured Voigtländer 21/28 as well as a round, metal 35mm Voigtländer finder). The idea is that this case could be used to simply throw a camera into whatever bag without worry. Or placed inside a less padded shoulder camera bag with top access so you can quickly open the case and grab the camera.
It works great… it's light and very easy to operate. Here's a short video demo:Â
I set the print settings to 3 perimeters and 7% gyroid infill. Every other parameter should depend on your particular printer and calibration but in general I advise to print TPU slowly at around 20mm/s for good results and if possible set all the movement speeds to the same value (except for travel moves).
