Description
I'm a pretty big fan of Smosh, and their drunken live event last night was so awesome that I wanted to see if I could 3D print its logo with Sloshy the Red Solo Cup on it.
This is designed for single extruder printers using M600 as the tool change command. It prints face down on the build plate, so make sure you have your first layer dialed in. I used GIMP, Inkscape, Blender, and PrusaSlicer to perform the JPG → SVG → STL conversion.
Use the provided 3MF file, it already has all of the pieces assigned to the correct colored extruders.
Optional: Slow down the first layer by pressing the knob on the printer, and using the Tune menu on the printer to change the speed. I slowed mine down to 25% for the entire first layer, but that increased the print time to 7.5 hours, so you might not want to do that.
If your first layer isn't good, you can rotate the model 180 degrees around the Y axis and print it face up. You'll also need to translate it in the X-Y plane so it fits back on the build plate between the edge and the wipe tower.
There are 12 filament swaps you must perform in this order. I find it helpful to keep a checklist, and tick each one off as you perform the swap.
