This is a simple dial safe, with working lock mechanism. It is obviously not very strong, but it hows the basic principles. The screenshots show how the lock should be assembled. In the download section each file has a note with how many times it needs to be printed. The print files are also present (with the correct amount of pcs + some spare parts). Some parts need to be glued
Basic assembly process (also check the screenshots and photos):
- glue the number blocks into the right holes (it is tricky to select the right holes for the numbers you want, you'll have to think this through a bit).
- mount the first ring on the door + add the first buffer (you might want to glue the buffer to the axle of the door, not to the ring).
- mount the second ring + spring washer + buffer
- mount the third ring + spring washer
- on the outside of the door, mount a spring wahser, place-holder and dial. the place holder and dial can be glued together. the dial should be glued to the axle of the third ring, but this might not be strong enough. you an use a small screw for this.
- next you have to glue the slider knob to the slider.
- glue the slider holder in place with the slider.
- then you can glue the cover on the back of the door.
- glue the front of the box on the box.
- finally you will have to glue the hinges, you need to see where to glue the hinges and hinge clamps/holders. because they need some space to slide (look at the photos)
