Pen or Tool Stand / Spring Design

I was looking for a stand to keep my fountain pens upright. I did not find something that I liked so I designed something.

This pen / tool stand is shaped like a spring and it even has some flexibility. There are four designs:

straight round sping

tapered round spring

straight hex spring

tapered hex sping.

The straight spring has a diameter of ~55mm , the opening of the tapered spring is ~53mm.

All four can be scaled down, if necessary. I guess scaling up is possible, too.

The springs print well at 0.2mm layer height. 0.3mm is also possible, if your printer supports this height.

You will need support within the parts. And its removal is no fun...
