Description
A pretty simple 25mm LCD knob with helical knurling, printed in two colors (using two parts) to accent the Printables logo on the front.
This was made to understand how to create helical knurling in Fusion 360, if you want to see how it was achieved, you can check-out the included project file. If you want to create a cross-hatch knurling, mirroring the existing helical pattern over itself would achieve that.
The model should be printed in two part of different color and press fitted together.
There is already 0.1mm of clearance built into the model to make sure that both model fits together in most of the case.
If the fit is too loose you use a bit of CA glue to bound them together, if its too tight you should be able to scale the knob-bottom model down in your slicer to adjust it.
This model should be printed at 0.10mm or 0.15mm layer height with 100% infill, any material should work. STL file should already be oriented properly and should be printed flat side down on the printer. A preconfigured Prusa Slicer configuration is also available in the download section.
