The dampening of the 3D printer is essentiell to increase the print quality. I wanted to improve the energy reduction with magnets. As visualized in Fig. (B) two 5x5mm cylinder shaped permanent magnets are inserted into dampers. By this, the magnets retract but keeped in position by the dampers.

Print the dampers on its side. I also recommend using PTEG. All the dampers made with PLA broke.

Inserting the magnets can be tricky. Use a flat metal tool with high iron content to push the magnets into position.
