Tevo Tarantula Slim Fan Duct

There are many fan duct designs for Tevo Tarantula out there which may perform quite good but most of them have one major problem which I found very frustrating - they reduce the available space in X direction on the right side of the bed by around 15-20 mm.

With the stock configuration the X carriage is able to go up to 5 mm from the edge, which I wanted to have in my disposal.

That's how an idea for a slim fan duct came to my mind :)

I went through a few iterations printing and testing each version.

With 3rd version I realized that narrowing along fan and especially the outlet is too narrow and significantly reduces the blast power of the radial fan.

The duct is designed for 5015 radial fan and dedicated to single stock hotend.

The fan should fit tightly.If it's a bit loose then can be strapped to the arm.

It's to be printed without supports, ideally in ABS or other high temperature filament with 3 walls (0.4 nozzle).

There are three versions:

• single left or right - should be enough to effectively cool down the print when is fan running 100%
• dual - seems to be too effective and I recommend running both fans at 50-75% max.

Pick one of your choice, print and install with the original fan screws.

UPDATE:

July 15, 2018 - Uploaded v7 which allows installation of proximity sensor SN04 or BLTouch directly to the heat sink. The funnels have been moved forward by 5 mm.
