Description

I've been using the DeWalt DCBL722 20V leaf blower now for better part of a year. I was always disappointed it only ever came with the one nozzle on the end of the blower called a “concentrator” but it's really more of a diffuser. I was equally confused why they made the nozzle removable but only had the one. If I'm blowing piles of leaves around the “diffuser” it is fine for that but where it falls terribly short is if your trying to blow out edge lines along a driveway or sidewalk. They get filled with grass clippings and aside from looking unsightly they tend to like to spout weeds faster if it's left in the cut line. Well using the diffuser mostly works except if your trying to clear the edge down a line it tends to blow the grass in both directions. This clears out the spot your working on and pushes 60% further down the sidewalk and the other 40% back down the previously cleaned section. This adapter helps to alleviate it by making the air concentrate almost as hard as a college kid on double ADD meds.

I tried a couple of the other ones out there but they either didn't fit well or were to thin and broke. I designed this in Fusion360 based on my trusty calipers & trial and error. I knew I'd be printing it in ABS so it was build to be about .5% over in most places to account for a little bit of shrinkage. The new nozzle slips on straight and locks in place firmly. To remove it I found the best thing was to rotate the nozzle till the tabs no longer line up and it just slips off with a little tug.
