Hello all,
here you can find a set of different inserts for an IKEA ALEX & MALM office cabinet.
I love to organize and have been inspired by Alexandre Chappel in the creation (Youtube). He created the inserts for his homemade drawers, but of course that doesn't fit my needs :-)
Overview of available pieces:
19.07.2022, initial release:
- Box 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x5,
- Box 2x2, 2x3 (Insert for AA and AAA batteries), 2x4, 2x6 (part 1 + part 2)
- Box 3x3
- Spacer to connect two drawers (just remove the bottomcover from the top drawer)
- Spacer for the sides to give the inserts a tight fit so that the don't slide around
14.08.2022, updates:
- Box 2x2 new insert for AA and AAA batteries
15.09.2022, update/info:
- If the batteries do not fit in the inserts, then Prusa offers the hole compensation. This allows the diameters to be adjusted. If you use Cura, then search for "Hole Horizontal Expansion"
- Be sure to use Prusa Slicer 2.5.0 to reduce printing times by about 20%. It is also useful to use a 0.6 mm nozzle.

- After the hint of @marcusone I have corrected the naming. The boxes were built width x depth. There are three new variants (2x1, 3x1, 4x1). I also divided the files into folders, because it becomes more and more now :-)
- Box 1x2: Two new inserts for more organizing. You can now store USB-Sticks, MicroSD- and SD-Cards. Thank you for your request @Djcproductions

- As a request from @Chris_613604 there are two new inserts for storing 2.5" harddrives. One for the thicknes of 12.7 mm and the other for 9.5 mm.

- As a request of @Erik there is now a new insert for storing 2.5" hard drives with a thickness of 7 mm.

- I am also starting a new series for special inlays with a universal EURO plug inlay and one for the ISDT Smart Charger C4.
