Description

This drum mount is sized for any Alesis brand electronic drumset. its made to clamp a 38mm tube on the big clamp and a 19mm tube on the small one. It is printed in two parts and epoxied together so that each clamp can have the optimal layer direction. I print this from PETG at 90% rectilinear infill. Definitely print it with the open ends of the clamps facing up and down, as in the 3MF file. In addition to the 3D printed parts, you will need:

-2x M6x35 bolts

-2x M6 nuts

-Epoxy

Instructions:

First, push the heads of the M6 bolts into the hexagonal pockets on the knobs, then lightly hammer them in the rest of the way. Take the small hexagonal pieces (which look like M6 nuts) and slide them down the bolt and into the same pocket in the knob (this is to prevent the bolt from being pushed out of the knob when it is tightened). If the hexagonal piece does not easily go into the knob, just leave it be-- it will get pushed in the first time you tighten the clamp. now push the M6 nuts into the hexagonal pockets on the clamps. These will also be tight, and will get pulled firmly into place the first time you tighten the clamp. Now insert the dowels into one of the clamps. Mix some epoxy and spread it onto the flat surface of that clamp where the dowels were placed, then push the other clamp onto it so that the dowels fit into its holes as well. After the epoxy is cured, it is ready to use. Optional: put a very small amount of lube on the surface of the knob where it rubs against the clamp (I use PTFE grease).
