GTC Aeolus (Freespace 2)

A Print Optimized version of the GTC Aeolus from Freespace 2 Open.

The original model was created by Nyctaeus, with supplementary work by Hades and Vasudan Admiral on the Hardlight Productions forums. I have made minor changes, and removed some greebles to make the model more amenable to 3D printing. I have also integrated the forward beam cannons into the hull, (a change I made since I printed my own model).

You will note that the Turret Barrels have are not included. I could not get them to print at satisfactory quality and recommend kitbashing to find parts to represent them. I used small nails in the turrets as gun barrels and found they look great. I have also created a basic stand to display the model.

I have scaled this to produce a model 200mm in length.
