Description
A Dutch license plate key chain script to be used with OpenSCAD.

The script needs a 2024 version of OpenSCAD with “manifold” and “textmetrics” turned on. The script does not work with a 2021 version of OpenSCAD.
To use the script, download and unpack/unzip the file “Kenteken.zip”. Be sure that it is unpacked before using the script. Open the script “Kenteken.scad” in OpenSCAD and use the “Customizer”. The Customizer window can be turned on in the menu.
The special font “Kenteken.ttf” is the font that is used in the Netherlands for a license plate.

Printing your own license plate and put it on a key chain with your car keys might be a bad idea. If you lose your keys then they know which car the keys belong to.
The script is meant to be used with filament swaps or with a multicolor 3D printer. It can also be painted with yellow (plate), black (text) and blue (logo).

On July 21, 2024, I replaced the script with Version 3.
It is now easier to use in the “Customizer” of OpenSCAD and it has many small improvements.
A heart symbol can be added to the text. Add extra spaces to make room for the heart symbol. The heart symbol can be turned on in the Customizer.
The heart could be printed/painted in red.

The font “Kenteken.ttf” has the CC BY-SA license. This script and any resulting 3D model made with it has that same license because the model depends on the font. You may sell 3D printed models made with the script.
