Description
Update: These would break if they let the equipment pivot-fall down onto the PTO, so I made a thick version. Better but still could break so I made a version for printing in TPU. The TPU version takes a bit more care to maintain consistent perimeters and so reduce stringing. Also the vents are just a pattern of holes, nothing fancy.
Designed for attachments to my wife's Grillo brand walk-behind tractor, this should work for any 2" PTO shaft implement and the FreeCAD file is included if you need a different size.
Designed to allow plenty of clearance to keep the grease in place, the cover makes contact with the shaft only at small bumps.
Hidden vents in the cap help ensure you can easily get it on and take it off.
Also does a great job of distributing blobs of grease around the shaft. Just blob the grease on as convenient, then rotate the cap a couple of times while pushing it on and removing for use (last two pictures).
