Description

This wallet was borne out of a need for 3 things:

1. Security

I think I nailed it here. The wallet utilizes 2 sturdy hinged clasps to ensure all the cards stay put. Two satisfying clicks ensure the cards aren't going anywhere. If one clasp fails or breaks, rest easy knowing there's a second clasp ready to take on the load.

2. Durability

This wallet is meant to be rugged. Great if you're out in the field and your keys take a lot of abuse. But I tried to couple ruggedness with a somewhat slim design that still fits comfortably in your pocket. It's still smaller than a regular wallet.

3. Remembering to take wallet!

The wallet has a keyring hole that allows you to attach it to your keys so you never forget your wallet at home (unless you always forget your keys!). The reinforced keyring hole design ensures a solid connection that is extremely difficult to break.

This wallet can hold roughly 15 cards. Depending on demand, I may upload additional versions that are slimmer and hold fewer cards.

Instructions & Printing Tips

  1. Print 1 main body and 2 clasps.
  2. To attach the 2 clasps to the body, use 2 short pieces of 1.75mm filament, and melt each end to lock in place.
  3. Do not print any supports. The design has some integrated supports that you'll need to remove after printing (see image).
  4. For best results, print with 4 perimeters and 99% cubic infill. Or for a slightly quicker print, use a lower infill, and create 3 modifiers with 99% cubic infill, then position them over the parts that need added strength (see photo).
