Description
The Philips Multigroom 7000 comes with a bunch of heads and guards, which is great. It also comes with a mediocre black pouch to store them in, which is not great.
I've designed a number of accessory trays to suit a variety of needs.
This version wasn't very good, and I never made it publicly available.
This tray will hold all of the guards, the cleaning brush, and four of the five heads (on the assumption that one of the heads is usually attached to the trimmer).
It should also work for the accessories in the Multigroom 3000 and 5000 trimmers, but there will be some extra slots/spaces for the pieces that aren't included with those kits.
Version 3 provides room for all of the heads. I found that when I swap heads, I want somewhere to put the head that I just took off. I also provided a little more space between the larger combs.
This was a complete redesign of versions 2 and 3.
I realized that I don't need the hair-cutting guards to sit on my counter all of the time. There's now a separate hair-guard tray (uploaded in 1x3 and 2x3 sizes) that matches the main accessory tray. If you want, you can combine them and print it all as one piece.
The trimmer compartments and guard slots have been redesigned so that they don't rattle around as much. This doesn't really matter if the tray just sits on the counter, but it's more satisfying when they slide in snugly. I've also increased the spacing between guards so that it's easier to pull them out.
The foil shaver can now be placed in its compartment facing either the front or back. I found that I was often placing it in the tray the wrong way, depending on which hand I used to remove it from the clippers. This should fix that issue and annoy me less. Similarly, the nose trimmer can now point in any direction.
In addition to the trays, I've uploaded separate components so that you can build one that suits your needs. Most parts are 40mm wide, and the hair-guard parts are 50mm wide. I've added a 50mm-wide trimmer compartment in case you want to keep the hair trimmer and guards together.
I've also included generic spacers in both widths, so that you can fill gaps and make your own compartments. Everything is done in round numbers (no decimals) to make remixing easier.
By request, I added three trays that will fit on a 150x150 print bed. The 120x100mm versions are nice and compact, but you have to choose between fitting three trimmer heads or two heads and the cleaning brush. Personally, I'd pick the first one and put the brush in a drawer.
The 120x118mm version is bigger, and gains an open compartment since I ran out of things to put in it.
