Description
This is another benchtop ATX-based power supply. The key thing about this one is that I wanted the power supply outside of the box. It just plugs in so if you fry it accidentally or need a different one, you just unplug.
This one is done in multiple pieces. I did accent colors for the top and bottom, but I've also include a file for an accented window frame (for the voltage/amps) if you want to match the top and bottom. I did mine in black as well.
On the side, I've left a spot for a USB port, and I've also included a cover that says “Standby” that can cover the USB port and indicate what the LED beside it is for.
Many people have done these so I haven't included any configuration files or wiring diagrams, but let me know if you want those and I will update. I can also update the parts list if you want. The LEDs I used were 3mm.
With this version, you run a cable from the left side, and plug it into whichever voltage you want (3v, 5v, 12v) although eventually I may make one to use a rotary knob. The wiring on this is just simpler for now.
Any questions, feel free to post in the comments and I'll do my best to answer.
