Tea Infuser adapter for pint glass

I broke the original coffee pot that came with my Piao I Gl865 Infusion Tea maker and have started using pint glasses which work great except for one thing... When I put the tea infuser inside the pint glass, it slips down a little bit too much and is a bit hard to pull out with my scalding finger tips. So, I made this thing to adjust the diameter of the rim to about 90mm.

Now, you're probably thinking, "Waitaminute there, Mr. 3E8, pint glasses are really good conductors of heat and I'll burn my tiny little republican hands!"
