Description
Located in the heart of Belconnen, a Suburb of Canberra in the ACT, Australia lies a sculpture of a big p..p..pen…p.. Powerful Owl.
The Big Powerful Owl stands eight metres tall and was designed by Bruce Armstrong. The sculpture was built in 2011 and is one of the numerous Big Things of Australia, this being the only one in the ACT.
The Owl has often been criticised for its phallic shape, however Ken Behrens have come to love it for all its quirks.
This model was created through the use of photogrammetry of the original sculpture.
The owl itself will need supports.
The model is pretty small, so scale it up in your slicer. The examples in the photos were scaled up to 200% to give you an idea.
The owl should fit nicely into the base, feel free to add a little bit of glue to make it really secure.
