Parametric lens filter caps

A simple parametric model for a pair of screw in (and screw on) caps to protect the front and rear of your lens filters.

I've included two examples for 62mm filters, along with the .scad file for you to make any size and label with OpenSCAD.

The file needs an external library for the threads; you'll need to download it ( https://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/ ) and place it in the same directory as the “filter caps.scad” file.

Print instructions:

• Tolerances are designed for PLA; PETG is higher in friction so will need some tweaking to the file to get good clearances.
• Examples shown are printed at 0.2mm layer height with a 0.6mm nozzle on a Prusa Mini, as the thread is 0.75mm pitch coarser layers might not work.
• Print with the text facing down.
• Play around with the top and bottom infill patterns, the different effects they give look nice on this model. For Archimedean chords and Octagram spiral infill you'll get the best results by splitting the .stl with both caps into separate objects.
