Description
I got tired of burning mosfets on the crazybee flight controller for my Mobula7HD (yes, I used the 9000kV motors, yes I had the capacitor on the battery), but I didn't want to give up on the dream of flying 3S. So I replaced the flight controller with a GEPRC GEP-12A-F4 board. The problem with that was that this controller doesn't have an integrated receiver.
Fortunately, my transmitter had come with a bundled R9M and R9MM module -- it was just a matter of mounting the R9MM model somewhere within the rat's nest of wires that is under the canopy of the Mobula 7 HD.
This is what I came up with. It mounts in the stud that is usually used to secure the mostly useless "breathing LED" board. So that it would not interfere with the VTX or camera, the R9MM wire dipole antenna was turned 90 degrees with respect to the board. I then threaded it through the frame below the camera, above the battery bay, and then hot glued around the perimeter of the rear fan ducts.
