Description
I saw this cute garden stone at a Hallmark store a while back, but they wanted $32 for it. No way in hell I was paying that much for an engraved rock, but luckily I have a 3d printer and an introductory level of modeling skill. Now you too can have a rock of your own for only a few cents worth of filament.
Printer Brand:
Creality
Printer:
Ender 5
Resolution:
.2 mm
Notes:
I printed mine standing on one end, using a raft and supports for balance. You can print it flat, but will end up with much more significant stair-stepping and will require filling/sanding to get a smooth look.
I used some acrylic paint to highlight the letters. Wiped off the high surfaces before it dried and used rubbing alcohol to get out any paint that seeped in between the layer lines.
