Sharpie Hilt - Pen is Mightier than the Sword

Description

If the “pen is mightier than the sword”… why not have both for insurance? This simple mod to the classic Fine Point Sharpie adds a new aesthetic sure to please your medieval enthusiasts.
 

This does not replace the existing Sharpie cap but slides over like a cover. Sharpie has a very well-designed internal o-ring/seal to keep markers fresh and secured. Why redo their hard work? 

Have a unique colored sharpie? Color part of the hilt with it!

To install

1. Use your clippers to remove the pocket clip and small nub lower down. If the cut is not clean, a good sanding will help.
2. Ensure the printed hilt slides over the pen cap; this should be a snug slip fit.
3. (Optional) sanding the cap prior to gluing with help the hilt stick.
4. Add your glue of choice to the inside of the hilt and press-on to the Sharpie cap.

Printing Notes

• Nozzle: 0.4 or smaller
• Build Plate Adhesion: Brim or Raft is recommended due to the small contact area
• Supports: Touching Build Plate; supports only require for the cross guard
• Orientation: Printing standing straight should yield the best results
