Articulating Arm Camera Holder

This is three part articulating arm allowing easy mounting camera or mobile phone (with appropriate camera adapter). If you need longer arm and more adjusting options you may additionally print middle part an use it to extend arm.

Articulated arm prints as one part but three parts are actually separated after print. You also need to print pair if knobs for 4mm hex nuts with caps.

It is supposed to be used with standard camera mounting pod. I use it with DELL 2412 camera mounting platform (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5442167) to attach web camera or mobile phone on top of the monitor for web streaming.

It allows fine leveling of the camera, especially if you have fixed pod, like when mounted on top of the monitor.

It also allows bringing web camera closer if it has to wide lens.

May be used for mounting camera in horizontal position for top view recording or some awkward position if you need it.

Other than printed parts you need two M4-40mm screws and two M4 nuts for assembly.

It needs two standard 1/4"-20 camera pod screws for mounting on pod and to mount camera to the arm.. If you have none, you may print this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5441548 (use B or B2 model).

Assembling is simple. Align three arm parts to form hinges and put 4mm screw through the holes to fix them.

Insert hex nuts into knobs and push them all way down to the knob. Then mount knob caps to cover hex nuts.

Screw knobs onto screws and use them to tighten hinges after you position camera as needed.

You may turn end elements upside down (separately) depending how you need to attach them to the pod and camera.

If you need longer arm, print middle part of the arm, and one more knob with cap, and use additional m4 screw and hex nut for assembly.
