Description

This is a modification from the original by Morskipas. I extended it to allow for the longer body of the E3D Titan V6 mounted on the 713Maker.com bracket.

I will be modifying this as needed.

Assembly is easy.

  1. Print with orientation as shown in the image.
  2. Disconnect from power
  3. Remove Z stop from the thin supplied bracket
  4. Install it on the newly printed bracket (there is space for back of board solder tails)
  5. Install T nuts and hex bolts
  6. Install on 20 20 rail
  7. Get long bolt and a nut left over from the build (should have a few left over).
  8. Get a small washer and a pen spring (rip apart an old pen, not your wife's favorite)
  9. Get a square nut for the top.
  10. Put it all together as shown in the photo.

That is it, just get it rough with an auto- home and then do fine adjustments by moving the screw up or down as needed

Print Settings

Printer:

FolgerTech FT5

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.200

Infill:

95%

Notes:

You will want high infill for this as it will be flexed quite often under use. Every z home command will bend it slightly. At 95% this is a very strong part and can be threaded if you need to.

Post-Printing =============

Assemble as shown here

Part 1. Part 2 will include this bracket (I am filming this right now)

How I Designed This ===================

What I used?

I am brand new to 3D printing and modelling so I used Tinkercad. I imported the file from Thingiverse into Tinkercad. I then copied it with the tools and primitives in Tinkercad. Finally I threw on some text to brand it FT5.

Hope you enjoy it!
