Description
A friend of mine owns a boat and he wanted to put some lights around the Wheelhouse.
So i startet to designe the housings for it.
The Housings will be used with LED Festoon lights inside and are designed to be mounted about 20cm above the floor so it will make a nice indirect light around the Wheelhouse.
Our goal is to solder 0.75mm wires to the LED Festoons and connect the wires inside the Wheelhouse because of the wet conditions on Seas. The Wires are then guided through the sloths that are 40mm apart insdie the housing near the Screwholes.
The Screwholes are 5.5mm in diameter.
Because of the Outdoor Use of the Model i added a .gcode for printing them with ASA Fillament.
Its the UV resistant version of ABS. It prints very much the same as ABS.
I have a encloser for my printer built with two IKEA Lack tables an a remix of the Prusa IKEA Encloser.
I printet 10pcs and got some miner problems with layer adhesion Mostly once per print a tiny gap, 0.1mm or so and maybe 3mm long. Nothing problematic but adding 2°C to the Fillamentum ASA Preset while printing did the trick.
I printet the Models in a upright position, this way all the outer surfaces look the same and the bridged parts are on the inside.
