Description
We used this holder for our CNC Router at Stockholm Makerspace, to hold all the different collet sizes we use.
It can be used either as a desk stand or wall mounted with two screws.
The AMB / Kress Collets are very hard to remove from their nuts, so you better just get a nut with each collet, and this is why it is made to store the nuts with the collets fitted. Be aware that if you have the -P (precision) version of the AMB spindle, you have an ER11 collet system instead.
I made it in a dual-material version, where you can print the inserts in another color or material (i used red TPU for the inserts). I've also included a single-material version if you don't have a dual extrusion printer.
Below you can find the dual material version either as six STL files that you can merge in your slicer, or a 3MF file with all of them already in it. The single material version is a single STL file.
The holder has two slots for 12mm label tape, the upper one (where you can for example write “collets for the CNC Router”) fits a ~119mm long label, and the bottom one fits a ~172mm long label.
The C-C distance between the holders is 37.5mm, the outermost ones are located 20mm from each side, and the label starts about 9mm from each side if you want to make a perfectly spaced label with the collet sizes on!
