Description
The IKEA Skadis system is quite handy for parts/tools, however the clear containers (Article #803.359.09) are oddly sized for most items associated with 3D printing. I designed bins that can be used to split the container into two separate sections. There are two versions, one is a bin with a single compartment, while the other is divided into four smaller sections. There is also a divider that can be glued into the original Skadis container to further divide the storage.
Some additional features:
Tip: I found the best way to glue the divider into the Skadis container was to only apply a dab of gel CA glue at the center of the printed piece. There is a small nub in the middle of the plastic container from the manufacturing process, so the long divider sections don't make direct contact with the bottom of the container. The printed piece has a tendency to slip out of alignment with too much pressure, so be gentle and the gel CA glue should fill the gap.
