Description
I've been thinking of making a better utility knife until I came across @PaskMakes knife he made out of brass, I used his stencil in fusion_360 and 3d_printed my own version.
you will need
x1 slandered utility knife blade
x2 M3 nuts
x2 M3x10 hex socket flat head cap screws
or
x2 M3x8 depending on how the nuts sit
assembly instructions:
step one: insert the two M3 nuts in handle and press them in firmly, use heat on the nuts if needed
step two: place blate in handle and place cover over the blade
step three: drive M3 screws thru cover and handle untill tight
step four: place cap over blade
you have completed assembly
this is very straightforward print as long as the parts are oriented correctly there should only be two spots that need supports. both holes on the handle where two M3 nuts are placed that is where supports can go.
If you are printing the blade cover you should make a pause on the print before bridging the space where the blade goes so you can place the blade in its spot so it can use it to bridge and have a snug fit when using the cap.
if there are any improvements you guys can think of please let me know in the comments
