Description

A set of skull-decorated cymbal mount nuts for a drumset (designed for Roland e-drum mounts, but will sure work for others too). The skulls were remixed from a wonderful design by bugman_140 (https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/5988-skull-scar).

The M6 and M8 nuts come in two variants – one of them has the thread modelled in it to be printed in place, the other has a cavity for placing a regular steel hex nut inside (standard DIN934 nuts, that is 10 mm width across flats and 5 mm height for M6, and 13 mm width with 6.5 mm height for M8, don't forget to pause the print for that, possibly using the "switch color" funcion in PrusaSlicer). The HiHat nut is in fact just a decor to go on the holder above the actual metal nut, it has a 16 mm deep hole in it with 12 mm ID with a hole for a set screw (4 mm hole to be tapped to M5) to secure it in place.

I've got more drum accessories in my profile, be sure to check it if you're interested:

Print instructions

I suggest printing in PLA and 0.10 or 0.05 layer height for fine details (or use variable layer heights to smoothen the top and the face). Use supports under the horizontal overangs of the M6 and M8 nuts and in the eye sockets.
