Description
This is a "case" for a battery-powered infrared thermometer with a laser pointer built with a Wemos D1 Mini ESP8266 microcontroller and an MLX90614 sensor.
By its data sheet this sensor has high accuracy of 0.5°C over the 0 … +50°C temperature range and measurement resolution of 0.02°C.
The full project description with the wiring and software code is available here: https://github.com/balassy/laser-temp-gun
You can print this model without supports, because it is designed with sacrificial layer for the holes and it does not really matter if your printer cannot print the bridges absolute perfectly.
The holes for the switch, the button and the battery mount screw are covered with a sacrificial layer to avoid supports. After printing cut them out with a knife and remove them.
