Charcoal Pencil Case

For my fellow artists who sharpen their charcoal pencils manually with a knife, they know how fragile the tapered tips can be. I couldn't find something portable and attachable online, so I made my own. This case is great for sketching on the go - especially for charcoal.

The internal height of the case is 178 mm (7 in) and the distance from one side of the hexagon to the other is 8.75mm (0.34 in). The case is snug enough to prevent the pencil from shaking inside, but loose enough where removing and inserting it is not an issue. Not only does prevent the pencil from breaking, but from smudges too.

Twist and turn to lock/unlock the case. It is that easy!

When the pencil gets shorter, or you need extra cushioning, just place some soft paper or cotton ball inside.

Print Settings:

Layer: 0.2 mm

Material: PETG (PLA is fine, but not ideal)

Speed: 20-30 mm/s for perimeters

Supports: None if perimeter speed is adjusted and sufficient cooling

Perimeter: 2 or 3

Infill: 0%

There is also another version of the cap without the clip should you prefer it that way :)
