- Added a new articulated grip with:
- real extendable selfie mode
- taller and more practical stand mode
- Updated photos and parts needed.
- Added an improved design with an aditional function “Hook mode” and more stable “Stand mode”.
- Old models are moved to a ZIP file.
Description:
This phone grip has the following modes:
- GRIP MODE: for a traditional camera style handling.
- STAND MODE: for taking group photos or a simple phone stand.
- HANDHELD MODE: for recording while moving.
- SELFIE STICK MODE: for increasing the distance a bit more.
- HANGING MODE: when you need to hang your phone from a rope or something.
It's important to note that the knob in the base is also the hand support point. Put it on the right side if you're right-handed, and left side for left-handers. See the pictures for an example.
Parts needed:
- (1x) M5 x 65mm bolt (it also works with 50mm screw in my case)
- (2x) M5 x 40mm bolts
- (2x) M5 x 12mm countersunk bolts (10mm will also work)
- (2x) M5 metal washer (for easier locking, optional)
- (3x) M5 nuts
- (2x) M5 self-locking nuts
Printing recommendations:
- Supports are only needed in the ‘grip-base' bottom holes. Will print without supports though but will need a bit of cleaning.
- It's holding your phone, so I'd print it with 3-4 perimeters for stronger parts. I printed mine with 2 perimeters and looks strong though.
- Infill at 15-20% is ok.
