Description
This stand lets you set your ceiling-mount access point (AP) on a table, desk, or shelf. The AP is oriented 45 degrees from horizontal. It uses the manufacturer's mounting plate. It has a pass-through for the Ethernet cable. (There is no power cord because it uses Power-over-Ethernet.)
My AP is a TP-Link Omada EAP670. Any of TP-Link's 243mm diameter APs should fit, and smaller ones should fit too, if they have the same mounting plate.
Does it work with that other ubiquitous brand? I wouldn't know.
There are two versions. The captive nut version (see last photo) holds M3 nuts in place and needs 12mm M3 screws. The free nut version allows other fastener types.
I used PLA with a 0.3mm layer height. No supports, no brim. But it's a forgiving model. Most anything would work.
I modeled it in Fusion 360. The .f3d file is included. To create the free nut version in Fusion, suppress the steps OffsetFaces1 and Extrude4 in the timeline.
I also included a .STEP file for other CAD programs.
