Description
The Bosch powertube 500Wh on my Moustache Bike has the same length as the 650Wh powertube, but on the 500Wh, we have a handle and some empty spaces… some empty spaces and a 3D printer you said ?
I initially wanted a place to keep attached the Airtag with the bike, but a thief can quickly figure out the trap and destroy it. With this empty spaces on each side of the battery handle the airtag is always with the bike (until the battery is removed). So this boxes are a cleaner way to acheive this function.
It is not a huge improvement but it was fun to design. Test it and tell me what you put in it ;)
I currently have in this small boxes:
Tip : use some cotton balls in the boxes to avoid noise on the road.
The design is very tight fit, but it is intentional to avoid shaking noises. You can of course reduce the size by 1 or 2% in regard of you printer tolerances.
The lid is not an obligation ! The boxes does not move even without the lid; and nothing can be lost thanks to the battery design.
You need to add a string to remove the boxes, but you can remove the box with two finger (or a plier) if the string break. If you have an idear to design a better “handle” to optimise inside space, tell me and I will update the model.
