Description

This is a simple wall hook with an internal diameter of 30mm and two printed 2mm holes (each including 7mm recess).

I'd be happy to see your prints!

BQ sent me a roll of their topaz-blue PLA filament, which can be seen being printed in the the timelapse.

Notes

I printed the hook on its side. 

  • Filament: Anycubic PLA 1.75mm Black
  • Speed: 40mm/s
  • Nozzle: 200°C
  • Heatbed: 60°C

 

Post-Printing

Tip

It's recommended to drill the holes again with a 3mm drill bit.

How I Designed This

I've got a few wooden poles which needed sturdy wall mounts being more beautiful than the plain nails on which they're resting at the moment.

The model has been created from two SVG files created in Illustrator. The first one was used to create the main body, which was then smoothed out. The second SVG contained all needed holes and recesses which have been extruded and subtracted from the main body.
