Ski roof rack (voile strap required

Print with 5 perimeters, 5 bottom and top layers, and no infill. Printing with no infill lets the shells have the flex necessary to bend open as you put it on the bar. Make sure to print with the tube oriented vertically, as shown in the picture on my desk, to allow the layer lines to be working in your favor.

you will need 2x M-5 bolts and nuts for each part. So 4 bolts and nuts in total... or zip ties if you are feeling lucky. Then pick up a couple voile straps for 6$ each. Make sure to get long enough straps. For most skis 15 inches is enough, but skinnier skis from 95 to 80mm work with only the 12 inch straps. Skis skinnier than 80 mm might not be held tightly if printed at 100% z height. If you are wanting to store skinnier skis, manually change the z height of the part in your slicer to at least 10mm skinnier than your ski.
